Just stuff

I was wondering if anybody else's kids are obsessed with Imagination Movers? Thank heavens they are on at 7:30am here so at least they are on at a reasonable time-I've had the best, longest un-interrupted showers this week since they've been watching Imagination Movers. I think it's boring frankly but whatever.

When the boys wake up-lately around 6:30 they watch half of a show and then Brandon asks me if I'll play upstairs with him-I usually say no-that I'm too tired..but I played with him yesterday and it was a good Brandon Mommy time because Tyler was still sleeping. So it's nice that they aren't glued to the TV until I turn it off and make them do something else!

Than Eric leaves for work at 7:15 and 7:30 Movers come on so I hop right in the shower-it's great!

Also the boys are in LOVE with their animal flashlights-since they wake up before the sun-that's the first toy that gets found in the morning, they lock themselves in the dark playroom and explore using their flashlights for a good 10 minutes-it's wonderful!

I'm going to post a survey on the side-to see if we should move the boys upstairs or leave them downstairs. Here's the pros and cons I can think of.
Move them Upstairs: pros-the new baby will have its own room;
cons-we'll have to turn the swamp cooler off in the summer when they go to bed, the playroom will never be the same-their beds will be there and the ceilings are so low we can't bunk their beds.
Leave them Downstairs: pros-we'll still have a playroom upstairs, we can keep the swamp cooler on as long as we want.
cons-we'll have to bunk the beds..the top bunker will be able to reach the ceiling fan that will need to be on!, we'll have a 4 bedroom house with 3 kids in 1 room.
So vote which you think would be better in the side margin..Thanks!

Also I'd like to share this recipe..the woman I Visit Teach gave us cookies one time and then I got the recipe. Eric doesn't care for oatmeal but I like them because I feel like their a little more healthy because of the oatmeal..so if you're interested.

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

1 Cup shortening
1 1/4 Cup brown sugar
3/4 Cup sugar
2 Eggs
-Beat until fluffy
Add 2 cups flour
2 Cups oatmeal-quick or regular
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
chocolate chips, or butterscotch chips and raisins if desired.

Bake 375* 8-10 minutes
She says she's made them with butter and margarine and they are flatter-she prefers shortening.

YUMMY!

something fun

u
o
Okay I just have a couple fun things to post that the boys have been up to.
First off-Mom and Dad Lambarth--the boys are getting plenty of use out of those guns you gave us last year..however Brandon can remember how Grandpa and Mommy shot each other at the park-and I won't let Brandon and Tyler aim at people..but they still have tons of fun with them!

Nana-Tyler is in LOVE with his sun glasses..they hardly touched them when you were with them around Christmas but they just can't get enough we can hardly go to church without them..I hope to never misplace them it would be a nightmare. This is Tyler's favorite way to wear the glasses!

Then there's a couple of Christmas pictures I never posted--some from painting, thanks Aunt Michelle but they do always have fun-it's better with brushes!

Then last but not least-last night the boys were doing jumps off the couch and I just had to get a video--it's poor quality of course but you can still see Brandon's cool jump with somersault and Tyler's jump with rolls...it was an excellent way to get their energy out!

Update

Well I have posted that I was looking forward to the Mother Daughter Young Woman's night. It was a lot of fun, even though I didn't have a daughter nor was I a Mommy for one of the girls that didn't have one. I still enjoyed the evening. We did hang massages and painted nails, did some yoga, had a hair class and of course had cake and ice cream. It was a late night-I knew it would be about 10:30 but I was so wiped out-it was a busy week-fun but busy.

And the Lost premier-I was looking forward to that. I recorded it but have not yet viewed it. We had about 4 hours of 24 to catch up on and 2 hours of American Idol plus Lost--we're catching up but not there yet. Tonight I'm looking forward to watching National Treasure 2 that I bought off of Ebay this week-I got it about 2 days after I purchased it which was wickedly awesome! I've seen it-but it's been a long time!

Other random thoughts-the word potty training urkes me and I just get stressed about it...it's NOT going good-but whatever. I've decided next month I'm starting Tyler and maybe things will look up from there. I did register Brandon for preschool this next fall. Eric thinks I'm crazy for doing it so soon but there's only about 3 that aren't weird church schools and a couple aren't just preschool so anyway-I figured if I wanted him in the morning..there's only 20 spots. It's more expensive than I thought but it'll be worth every single penny! I also would like to put him in swimming lessons-but whenever I think about doing that I think-yeah and he's going to be the ONLY one in a swim diaper--I'd like him to be potty trained but he's just getting older and older and really should learn to swim, since he does LOVE it.

I'm super happy that I can call my Mom whenever I want-it's sort of an obsession I just want to do it because I can, it's dumb I know-but it's just fun. And they upgraded from dial up so I can actually get them on their home phone!

Eric is really set on KNOWING the sex of this baby that we're going to look into getting another ultrasound-I go see the doctor February 3rd, so I'll know more details then..Eric keeps calling it Marie, and sisters at church keep telling me it's a girl-we just need to know for sure!

Last night Eric and I went on a date! Holy cow it's been a LONG time-we were able to get out at Chirstmas time with family around-but it's been since about September that we got a babysitter from our ward and hung out alone. It was fun and Brandon loves this babysitter that I get-we really need to do it more often!

I think this is all the updates for now..until who knows when...

Renovations complete!

Our bathroom is now complete!! It looks so wonderful and I'm very proud of Eric. Nobody is going to believe that he went to 1 Home Depot class and that was it! It looks like a professional did it..it's just wonderful. I am VERY happy to have it completed too! It's been a long haul..the toilet's been working since we got back from Christmas vacation but we still had to grout and seal the tile, seal around the toilet, prime and paint, install the vanity and storage then put a new drain and all. He's done a lot in a little amount of time but I'm glad it's finished! Well we still need baseboards but I'm not concerned about those at all.
BEFORE..

AFTER!

BEAUTIFUL TILE!

Brandon is re-interested in potty training..yeah! So we'll see how it goes and of course Tyler wants to go too but he never pushes any out-but hopefully it'll all work out this time. Brandon keeps telling me when he goes on the potty all by himself then he gets to go to school. Which is partially true!

So last week this baby weighed 14 ounces--so there's a LOT of growing that's got to happen in the next 19 weeks..scary yet exciting!

Hope everybody's Christmas went well-since I haven't checked blogs since last year!

And the baby is....

I had my ultrasound today and we're pretty sure it's a girl. We couldn't find any boy parts-there's a chance they were hidden from the angel we looked at so she wouldn't say it's a girl for sure..but I think we're pretty sure!

I got a CD of pictures-but when I open it it opens in it's own program and all the pics are as one--maybe Eric can figure something out-but until then no pics.

We kept on being told that this baby had a wonderfully beautiful spine and we have about 5 pictures of it. It likes to stick out its tongue, put its fingers in it's mouth and wave! Personality already --I suppose.

Wanted to share the news with all-hopefully in about 20 weeks Marie will be born into this world!
