Caving

Saturday Eric and I went caving in Gooding, Idaho (about 30 minutes from here). It was really awesome exploring inside lava cave formations. Don't worry-we went with professionals-I'm very grateful because I really got lost in there. Here are a few pictures from our adventure. Technically you're not inside a cave unless you can't see any light from outside-one cave that we went to is called Tea Kettle...here there is a big whole that lets light in, you crawl through a 'spout' to get down to it. So you can see light the whole time, but it was incredible there are ferns that grow there that you can't find in the desert-but grow here because the moisture the cave provides. The other cave was Spider cave-we did a lot of climbing, scooting through holes and walking over rocks that used to be on the ceiling but have already fallen-easy to get disoriented, but very fun. It was great to get away with Eric for an entire day! We were gone for about 8 hours and I thought Tyler would be a nightmare since he cries the whole time in Nursery. Wonderful Uncle Brett came up to watch the boys-and to my surprise they were perfect for him!
